italy/portugal/croatia camping?

We have spent many fab years with canvas holidays in france, and italy, but this year looking for a luxury camping experience. Ie the millenium mobile home but with another company?

Can anyone recommend another well know camping holiday company, its just that we have done most of the sites with the biggest mobiles and find the choice of sites limited for this year, to ones we have been to before.

Lots of the newer sitews on their books only have tents or smaller mobiles. Any help would be fab.

Not averse to going under canvas by the way, we have our own tent and use it loads for in this country at weekends, so not a snobby camper at all! Just want a bit of comfort when abroad, thanks

Can't help on the holiday company but have seen mobile home sites listed on the croatian tourism site if that is any good. N.B. You may (or not!) want to select either nudist or textile campsites on your search! If you want to ask anything about visiting/travelling around the Adriatic coast, I'm fairly familiar with it by now, so feel free.

LOL!! nudist campsites! Reminds me of a holiday a couple of years back in majorca, when we went along the coast to find a secluded bay with a restaurant (2 families inc 5 kids!) only to find we were sitting on a nudist beach with a nudist restaurant, got tears streaming down my face now with the memory! The children thought it hilarious, there were men stretching and exercising in the sunshine directly in front of our table whilst we were eating! Thanks will bear it in mind!!

pmsl - bet that put you off your food! had a similar experience on a beach in mexico...although there they were not-so-hunky men playing frisbee [shudder]

there are lots of nudist beaches (and campsites, apparently!) in Croatia although mostly frequented by foreign tourists. I love the way they use a little red apple as a symbol for nudsit camps on the tourism website!!

now i'm PMSL (frisbee!) but what about the women, straddled across their sun beds sitting up, or the woman that drifted past our table with a certain string blowing gently in the breeze.

you know what, we ought to start a thread about experiences of coming across a nudist beach/camp by mistake! reckon it would be hilarious! Such as AIBU to be shocked by stumbling across nudist camp/beach?!
