AArgh!!! Just spnt ages typing a message and lost it!!!

I ahven't stayed at either but have heard good reports about both - they're not too far from each other so you'd get the same outings etc. Only thing is that with clarys plage (we stayed next door and I had a nosy - looked really good!) is that the campsite is split by the main road - so if you were put in the smaller section, you'd ahve to cross the road for the pool etc and it can get busy.

I can recommend th Acapulco cam site tho next door to Clarys!! It was fantastic and I would go back any time!!! really loved it there. tehre is a small Cahampion supermarket 5 mins walk away (next to Clarys) and a few other shops, bars restauarants - can walk to a small beach too but you need to drive/cycle to the main St jdm beach.

You must go to ::

[www.puydefou.com] out fo this world!!!

and

[www.planetesauvage.com] is a great wee safari park near nantes

and
[www.parcdesdunes.com] we spent all day here for not much dosh and had an absolute blast!!!

Just shoult if you want any more!!!

But look at camping Acapulco - it is fab!

We've been to the Clarys Plage and had a great time. Pool was lovely and spotless, loads of slides. The supermarket was accessible out the back of the park which was handy, and there was a parade of shops/pizzerias and a little funfair/market there in the evenings.

It's right by the beach and it's an easy drive into St Jean de Monts.

Dsd was 10 at the time and made loads of friends in the park, which was adjacent to the bar so we were able to sit and have a drink while she played. The entertainment was a bit (disco, kareoke and bucking broncho thing) but dsd enjoyed it. It didn't start till 9pm so was too late for dd (3).

Were you thinking of getting a tent or caravan?

Puy de fou is absolutely fab! When we went, DS was 5 1/2 and DD 7. It wasn't scary at all - the "spectacles" are fantastic and even though in french, no problem to follow as there is so much action. There are 5 or 6 big shows and numerous smaller ones, some specifically aimed at toddlers, so I'm sure they would enjoy it.

Acapulco is fab!! the site is set out really wella nd the pool area is great - thereis a little bridge over the pool dividing the kids area from the swimming area which dd spent half her holiday walking over!! Loads of space and the kids club and play area is next to the pool - all sandy so they were able to play in the sand as well as on the swings! the restauarnt food was great and the takeaway!! campsite shop was basic but the supermarket was only a few mins walk away. the site was geared up for kids and they loved it!! My two were 3 and 4 when we went and they adored the holiday and Puy de Fou.

If you can't get a pitch at Acapulco, we've also stayed at a few sites in Brittany which were fab and I know they take bookings for tents and caravans. Just trying to think if they did at Acapulco.

We stayed at Le Clarys Plage 2 yrs ago and wouldn't go back. It really depends what you are looking for. We had always stayed at quiet sites in Britanny before and when we went to Clarys Plage we found it very noisy, even in the evenings and our pitch was just about the furthest from the clubhouse.
I think when you have small children it is nice to have quiet evenings, but everyone is different.
Also, wasn't impressed with the beach. Britanny beaches much nicer!
