You need to look at my profile pics. Well I took the plunge and got this little beauty, he is now called Wee Red. Its all a bit of a hotch potch inside, so I will have to kit it all out. Planning to take Wee red for a picnic on Sunday to roll eggs. (if I find insurance [argh].)

Oh, how exciting. I've been lurking on your campervan type thread. Keep us posted on your progress, won't you?

I will get some before and after pics. I was pricing some vinyal flooring today and I think putting that in will brighten it up no end. I am thinking of resiting the cooker/ sink uni as it is infront of the seats int he back and I would rather have a table there and be able to make some kind of a bed there. The seats and the kitchen unit are all removable so I can change over whats in the van, I can even take it all out if I decide to start a removal business .

Sounds great. What a fab project to be working on.

Flooring definitley a good place to start. When are you going to have your first trip in it? Maybe once you've used the van a couple of times you'll have a better idea of where you want things like kitchen?

I got flooring today and FIl came round to have a look at how we can re-site the cooker. He will help me build up 2 units to go behind the seats so they can be easily lifted out or used inside if needed. Going to put a bench seat behind the drivers seat so I can have a table between that and the back seats, then have some way of making tht into a bed. Everything has to be removable, nit fixed in as it is insured as a van.

Had it out for a drive today and seems Ok to drive, very windy so it was a bit to handle. Going to take it for an easter picnic somewhere with all the family, so will have to get all the gear from my old caravan and the right gas cylinder so I can make everyone a cuppa.

Not had a chance to get the vinyl fitted yet as it has been freezing and snowing, I did manage to scrub the dash board and round the windscreen and front doors, it was manky. Looking better now.

Also got the awning out to see what it was like, its huge, well quite big, used twice and I think the sleeping compartment has never been opened. I think lining the van up alongside will be a challenge .
