Kids Sleeping bags????

Hi

I have a lovely tent but feel we could get more out of it if we had decent gear!

The kids are 2 and 4 and I just have cheapy rubbish bags andI'm constantly worrying they will freeze as I always do!

Can anyone recommend some good bags for them that would do like march ~ October.

Are they better on an airbed or shall I get some off the ground campbeds?
Thanks
Debs

Campbeds tend to keep you warmer but they are bulky. We use thin roll up msts beneath our airbeds and a duvet on top. Then a sleeping bag and a duvet or 2 on top. We only use the mats when we camp early in the season though. By Whitsun I don't find we need them. The kids have cheap bags from Aldi and they are fine. If its cold they have thermals to wear under the pjs plus a hat and gloves if needed.

I put mats under the airbeds and a fleecy blanket over the beds then a sleeping bag and more fleecy blankets if need be.

Where do you get kids thermals from?

I looked at the vango ones but thought my wrigglers may not get on with them.

I got ours from Aldi's when they had them in. I should have thought you can get them from quite a few places at this time of year but certainly places like millets or Oswald Bailey.

AS other posters will know I am a camping novice, so lol about posting here. Just to say that there are some coleman junior sleeping bags on Amazon atm, for £6.99. That seemed quite a good price to me, for what seemed like quite good bags

Thanks, I will check in Millets, never heard of Oswald Bailey, maybe he's local!
Thanks overrun I will have a look at those.

Vaude do a great range of kids sleeping bags - including some really cosy toddler sized ones. They do seem a bit pricey but personally I think it is worth it as cold kids are really annoying in a tent,

We got some at Tesco, and they have been great.
I know what you mean about worrying all night. My dd wiggles, I put the covers back. She wiggles, I put the covers back etc etc.

Meanwhile Dh, even on the coldest of nights is ON TOP of his sleeping bag, only in his undy scrundies, radiating heat!!
