looks like a total rip off to me. dd has a childs sleeping bag but you could just tie a string round a normal sized one. tbh we normally all sleep under a duvet as our days of light rough camping are over.

youw ill zip the end off and loose it, the kids will zip the end off and play game sin thier sleeping bags, someone else will take your zipped off bit and then your child will grow so much in one year that it is useless!!

sorry to be blunt but as a cub leader im fed up with kids turning up to camp with expensive kit that dosent work.

try a small adults bag if they want one with a hood or a square ended bag. i find the kids will sleep in anything other than thier own bags!!

good luck!!

oh and try ebay first!!

Looks a strange size to me (not toddler but not junior) and the difference between the 2 possible lengths not great enough to be that useful in the long run. To me it looks too long for a 2 to 3 year old. Then a 4 / 5 + year old would be fine in a regular junior sized sleeping bag without fear they'd slip down and get caught up.

I must've spent £30 on a good quality junior bag for my 5/6 year old last year. I'm glad I did because he loves it and it keeps him very snug. I'd have been happy with him in it the year before and can see it lasting him many years.

I got this one years ago when my first was a baby

That wasn't a good use of money, it's not that snug and we never got our heads round doing it for a baby . Very expensive for what it is. Ended up taking his grobag and blankets when he was a baby. I do use it for my youngest since 2 years on sleep mats but have to put extra blankets in.

Wish they'd been something like this www.outdoormegastore.co.uk/acatalog/Outdoor_Megastore_Sleeping_Bags_for_Kids_240.html
on the market when I was originally looking all those years ago. It's a much better price. I suppose it depends on whether you have a tall toddler or not, mine is short and could see it lasting him until 4.

My children have adult sleeping bags. when they were little, I folded the end under and sewed it in place to make it the right legnth. No need at all to buy special ones. Don't give big business a penny more thanyou need to!

My two have Gelert ones, both less than £20. DD's is a 'Snooze Sac' and looks much nicer than DS's 'Kids Snooze' version.

My DKs both have Vango nitestar midi and have used them since DD was 2 and DS 4. Nice and warm, but only suitable for spring/summer use. If going camping when night temp drops to freezing ALWAYS GET ADVICE FROM CAMPING SHOP STAFF!! Don't go by "comfort rating" labels if buying online. They are not always as accurate as they could be! Also bear in mind that "you get what you pay for"! Cheap is not necessarily good! (DH is camping shop owner and spends ages advising customers about doss bags as does not want anyone to freeze to death!)
