Yep we have one of those - we intended using it as a weekend tent but our bigger tunnel tent didn't take much longer to put up, so we have only used it once - in fact we may well sell it.....

anyway it was easy to put up and would be easily big enough for you and your dd. The bedroom area fitted our 4 airbeds across it and there was loads of room at the head end for bags etc, in fact it seemed longer than wider iyswim. There is decent head room in the living area too.

Where are you based pirategirl?

dome tents tend to be a little harder work than tunnel tents, but this isn't a massive one.

Have you thought about posting on UKcampsite.co.uk ?

Really nice people these are I bet someone will have a Vango Venture.

Hiya piratecat - sorry about not getting back to this thread.

Are you interested in buying the Vango then? we were looking for £50 for it and of course there wouldn't need to be any postage costs if I could drop it off at your friends house in Bramhall.

Can you CAT me?

hi there lucycat, thanks for your reply!!

Unfortunately, my friend isn't planning a Devon trip in time. I have seen them online similarly priced so if I go for one then thats prob the best way.

Thankyou for your kind offer tho, to offer it to us, and for your advice.

If you are ever in south Devon you must pop in for a cuppa!!!

thanks again

We shall be down in Devon at Whit, just south of Newton Abbott - put the kettle on!

I am v of you living in such a gorgeous area of the world btw

seriously

We came down last summer and loved it. We travelled all over the area, Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Dartmouth which we loved, Blackpool Sands, Bigbury... ooh lovely. The fact that we were camping close to Dartmoor was an added bonus - that's why we are going back at Whit - for my cream tea at Widecombe

hiya, yes it is lovely!!

I was sort of brought up here, moved to London for 10 yrs and came back with dh.

Dh long gone now, but me and dd have a relatively stress free life, well, where the surrounding are concerned. I do long for hustle and bustle at times tho.

I live in Kingsbridge. I met up with another mnetter last yr having found out they holiday down here regularly!! When is whit?? maybe if I havent found a tent by then I could meet you or something?
