Where can I get, cheaply, an Old Fashioned Scout-style tent that I can leave outside for weeks at a time?

I want to bung it in the garden and just leave it there so the kids can play in it over the summer and I can drink tea and knit and smugly survey the blytonesq scene unfurling before me.

I don't mind hosing it down from time to time but I don't want to have to put it up every day. And I don't want one of those landfill-in-training pop up tents.

Oh and CHEAP, must be CHEAP

And MUST look the part...

local scout groups? may have one moldering in a cupboard. or last year there were a couple on e-bay being sold by scouts.
and you'll need ginger-beer and marmalade sandwiches.
can i come - it sounds lovely

can you sling a rope between 2 trees and hang a tarpaulin over for true swallows and amazons authenticity?

mmj that is perfect!

it even SAYS "you can leave it up all summer"

I dunno what it is with me and ebay, I never seem to use the right words to find what I want, IYKWIM.

sadly fillyjonk for a true blytonesque scene you will ahve to stay indoors being a grumpy professor, baking cakes or getting up to no good on an island (obviously depending on thickness of lips and facial scaring)
