Am considering booking a mobile for summer 2008 with tesco clubcard vouchers and when i googled Camping Life, it came up as Canvas Life; but when i click through from tesco the site is still called French Life. Anyone know if they are all one and the same, and would you get the proper Canvas kids club with this new company?

I know i should be writing xmas cards instead LOL

mmm that's an interesting one.

I get the same info - it might be worth giving the people at Tesco a ring to ask?

we booked our holiday with frenchlife/camping life using Tesco clubcard vouchers.
Canvas Holidays have aquired the business and have renamed Canvas Life, we had all the paperwork through from them informing us of the change.
Hope that helps

Thanks. I received a brochure the other day from Canvas Life, and it looks like they have thier own kids clubs. Where are you staying harvey?

We haved booked to go to Benodet- Camping La Pointe St Gilles in August for 10 days
I have a 2 year old and 3 year old so am hoping that the journey will be ok. We aree stopping overnight and are getting those car DVD headrest players, so figers crossed!
Any thoughts where you'd like to stay?

We went to point st gilles about 3 years ago. Benodet is a lovely little town, and you can walk to it from the site or take the tourist road train. It is a long-ish journey but the roads are good all the way. Visit Concarneau, a walled city on an island.

For this year I am still pondering - so many options

Upadte, if anyone is considering booking this way:
If you pay with Tesco vouchers, you have to pay the full brochure price in the French Life brochure, which is pricier than the Canvas Life brochure for the identical holiday - by about £100 in our case.
Also any ferry supplements & extras like linen hire cannot be paid with vouchers.
Still good value, but not quite the bargain I hoped it would be.
