We've only managed one trip in our shiny new tent & as the forecast is good for the weekend we are wondering will everywhere be heaving ??
We wouldn't be able to set off till Sunday morning & are only look ing for 1 or 2 nights - thinking of N Wales or Lakes but will all site be packed by then ? We are deffo not into sardine type camping - we like our space !

If you could wait until Monday you will have no problem.
Trying to find a place for this Sunday will be very hard in the Lakes..

We booked a few weeks ago now and had trouble finding a place for the Saturday and Sunday. Most places were either full or only took 3-day bookings.

I gather there have been quite a few last minute cancellations this year. A couple of my camping friends have managed to book the Dorset coast for the Bank Hol w/e due to people getting cold (and wet!) feet, literally! You may have to be dedicated and sit on the phone but I reckon you'll get something. DO remember though that 'hard core' campers avoid Public Hols like the plague cos that does tend to be, esp at camping 'resorts' (Haven?) when you get gangs of drunken rowdies out to get pissed wiv their mates and bugger you and your kids trying to sleep!
