Who is in france now?

Don't know if this is a good idea, but if you are currently in France what is your weather like? We are in the Jura and it's rainy and cold Sad.
Weather was boiling until Sunday but forecast is now rain and thunderstorms for the next few days. I think we've been unlucky and it's not typical weather, but is the rest of France the same?
(never thought I'd be sat indoors on MN on my hols!).

I think the weather has been unusually poor this summer in France.

However, I have been on the South coast of Brittany since July and the weather here has been much better than normal. We have had the odd hot days. The rest has been warm.

The rain we have had has mainly been at nights. The South coast of Brittany has been great this year.

I think the South East coast and Corsica have had good weather too but the South West and the Pyrenees have had dodgy weather too.

Good luck. I hope it improves for you.

We are but have travelled round to dodge the rain. Looks like it is warming up again though in a few days (last night was a tad chilly sitting out) but we are off home....

Oh and generally the weather is poor in Europe - I have been keeping an eye on Northern Italy/Southern Switzerland and it is rubbed compared to last year.

I'm sorry the weather isn't great at the moment for you.

We're going to the dordogne next week and I'm keeping an eye on the weather forecast.

Dordogne was pretty good last week ritzy Smile. 1 damp day and we did high ropes and a dinosaur park.

Loved Carantec. Thought the village lovely and there is a fabby cake shop there. Site was nice though we visited very many years ago. Loqmarquer (sp?) from memory was also lovely little place with fabby cake shop too. As you can tell, a good cake shop is essential for our hols!

Today was a bit drier luckily, though temperature wise its about 11 degrees lower than the average for this time of year. Looking like its going to warm up just as we are leaving!

It's all over the shop this summer. We live here and have the whole French school holidays for a mix of camping and entertaining visiting family. We are down in the langedoc, camped north of Montpellier mid July (was great) and Pyrenees early August (was very mixed, hot followed by storms, then cloudy, then more storms- all in the space of four days:/) crazy. There hasn't been a settled, sunny spell of more than a few days, it just builds up really fast then an almighty storm and rain. And it already feels like autumn down here.- slightly chilly wind and very cool nights.

The local restaurateur says it has been a terrible summer all over, no tourists. And I've seen a couple of newspaper articles saying that camping numbers are down as much as 50% on the usual for this time of year... Doom and gloom!

Hope it's good wherever you all are- its piddling down outside just now!

We were on the Vendee for two weeks and it was mostly boiling then to brittanny on way back to ferry for a week, weather forcast was terrible but most days were lovely. Very unpredictable we felt.

We are in Dordogne and it's been warm and dry mostly but cold at night. Def not as hot as last year. The week before we arrived was apparently awful though.

We were in the Jura last month (Lac Du Chalain) and it tipped it down so we came home early. We had much better weather in the Ardeche the 2 weeks before that. It even got TOO hot.

I had a friend who was there last week and said it rained and others going tomorrow who wish they hadn't bothered to book Sad I think it has been dismal everywhere this year.

Came back yesterday from Ile de France. Was chilly at night but nice in the day. Did have some rain though

Well we're back in the UK now. Left France with conditions better but still not great. I think we've been lucky for the last few years having great weather, so cold and rainy has been a shock for us!
