Camping

Is it possible to just go camping?

We have a tent, and sleeping bags, and a gas stove.

The forecast looks good.

Have we a hope of finding somewhere to camp tomorrow night, no more than say an hour from london?

I don't know much/anything about availability of camp sites within an hour of London but don't know if this is any help

Have you searched on here? Will you have dcs with you? I've just looked at an adult only site for when dcs aren't with us. Dh and I fancy a couple of nights camping.

We as a family just came back from Keswick and I know they were totally booked up.

Would you fancy camping behind a pub? Dh do that sometimes. Am sure there'd be one available near London?

Also, if you're members of C&C then you can go to certified sites for a few quid. Often near a pub Wink

No DC

Sadly not members of any club except girlguiding. DH and I have never camped together, but have separately many times.

Will have a look at those links and see if anyone has a pitch left

Lots of popular coastal areas have basic campsites that you can't book. You will get a field and basic facilities. No electric but I am sure that won't bother you.

Go for it I am sure you will find somewhere Smile
