Apparently it's only 58 thousand Australian dollar pound thingies! A total snip.

Gwan someone, please?

The only thing that worries me is that it doesn't seem to have a built-in satellite-linked server with wifi hub. How will I able to have my habitual late night MN session?

I suspect coverage in the outback is rather patchy [understatement]

That is the stuff of dreams, and I;m not even a caravan fan. The prospect of being able to stay away from venemous bugs in the Outback is extremely attractive. I wonder if you can hire them?

duchesse that is actually a very useful thought! Next summer dtds will be finishing their GCSEs and a trip round Oz is something that's been seriously talked about, as DP and me and our girls will be legally able to travel outside the School Holiday Niet for the first time since 2003 - and between us we've got about fifteen aunties and cousins over there. And DP and both dtds seem to be obsessed with creepy crawlies and well up for loitering in the deep Bush to find highly venomous interesting ones.

Ah. You do realise that your girls are now bound to stay in compulsory education until they're 18, don't you? My DD2 is 17 and it went up for her year last year.

They'll be going on to sixth form, but they'll finish the summer term early - we'd plan on going straight after the year 11 prom.

they don't have to stay in education - just 'learning' - college, school, an apprenticeship or a job with training

and that is a fantastic bit of kit Grin

Another family at same school is in Oz right now, they flew out July 1st. One child just done GCSEs year 11, other just finished A levels year 13. According to BIL the Deputy Head, no problem as far as school concerned, just the year 11 needs to be back by September 2nd to register for Sixth Form if that's what s/he wants.

Definitely a plan!
