Camping chairs that fold up nice and small?

Hi, just been camping for the first time in years and loved it, so now we want to get a bit more kit - the car was almost full but not quite!

One thing we need is some camping chairs (not stools, I am old with achey joints). Can anyone recommend any that fold up nice and small then we will have room in the car for even more kit but are still reasonably comfy?

I received a Helinox Chair One for Christmas. The most awesome of camping gifts (especially being the person who packs the car). Packs the size of a pair of shoes in its own bag - small and light enough to carry to the beach in a rucksack, but is still remarkably comfortable. Definitely not cheap, although you can (very occasionally) pick them up a bit cheaper than this ...

Wow that is amazingly small when packed up but at the price. Not sure I can afford 3 of them!

I was just coming on to recommend the Helinox chair too! My SIL got her DH to carry one round Glastonbury for her as she is pregnant and she said it was amazing.

I really do need something just a wee bit cheaper, please...

It doesn't have to be teeny tiny, or super comfy. I will be very pleased with smaller than most when folded, and quite comfy

Ok ok! I shall wave my Fairy Campmotjer wand and tell you about the Vegas XL from Go Outdoors. My best camping buddy has a Ford Ka and so her #1 concern is space. For months she has been envious of our massive moon chairs and on the look out for an alternative as she'd never get them in her car. She found these Vegas chairs and loves them as they're almost as comfy as our moons but pack down comparatively small.

Although I must add I have not noticed myself what they're like packed as we're always too preoccupied unloading our MASSIVE kit but they must be small as two fit in the Ka fine with all her other gear. And I haven't sat in one either but she assures me they're great.

Thank you all, I like the Vegas XL chair so may go to a store later in the week and see if I can test one out in comparison to some others. Who knew finding decent chairs was such hard work?!

We bought the hi gear Arizona chairs from go outdoors - we were looking for chairs that weren't too tall to fit in a particular cupboard in our camper. They are surprisingly comfy although there is no beer holder sadly!

Just to say we bought these Vegas chairs and they arrived today - they are large and very comfy, compact when folded, and just perfect. I would not have found them without this thread, thank you so much
