Calling vango owners.....

After our draughty Somerset holiday we've decided to upgrade our tent to one with an enclosed groundsheet(and it would be nice to be able to stand up straight ). Thanks to a quick bit of internet research we've decided the Vango Diablo 600 meets all our criteria. If anyone has one, do you find it easy to fit in the car, or is it huge when packed up? Thing is, I want to order one online and don't want to make a terrible error. Our current 6 berth tent is in quite a small bag and fits in the roofbox with all the airbeds, bedding, chairs etc. The rest of the car was still packed full even though we didn't take any 'non-essentials'. Dh has been muttering about a trailer which is a bit rich considering it's me that has to do all the driving! (besides, would a 1.4 engine pull a trailer ok?).

Sorry, waffling on a bit now . TIA

The Diablo comes in a huge bag, plus the tent poles. Don't have a roofbox so can't help you to say it would fit in one! Best try to go into a store first and see the gooods for yourself.

Thanks AnnaG. I managed to look up the packed dimensions and they didn't seem too bad so have taken the plunge and ordered one (gulp!). Dh might end up with a lot more things packed under his feet next year. Serves him right for not learning to drive .

I have a diable 600, 2004 version, it is HUGE when up, but a fab tent . It took up most of the boot in a daewoo kalos, but with a roof box we manage to get everything & the kitchen sink in (although only 3 of us mind). Is great for weeks away etc, but we have a smaller one for weekends.
The best things about imo are: don't get hot and sticky in the morning, dont have to stoop when in it, so ok to be in it if it rains etc esp if you have a power source!
As has already been said prob best to look at one though - they really are a mamouth effort!!
