Can anyone recommend a couple of good lights for camping

  1. that can be used very very dimly as a nightlight for my kids ie on all night
  2. That gives more light for short period. We bought a cheap one that has packed up after one trip grrrrrr

For a nightlight type thing try those fluorescent glowsticks. You'll need the thick ones, not just the skinny ones that you can bend into bracelets etc. I think they sell them in Lakeland.

I was surprised how much light they gave off, and each one will last for one night. They come in all different colours. (by the next evening our yellow one looked like a test tube of wee tied to the tent roof. Nice interior design touch.)

Thanks all - no idea where to get glowsticks and no time to order from Lakeland.

DP has just texted me to say he's bought a light! Without waiting for your advice! Shame on him.
