Camping

company that puts up tents

Hi all, we've never been camping with ds before as he's scared of the dark. We only have the basic equipment ie; tent, groundsheet and sleeping bags and not much else! I've heard of a company that can drive to the campsite and put up a super duper tent for you with cooking stuff etc and you just turn up. I thought this might be a good idea for a 'starter' camper trip. Unfortunately I can't remember what they are called.
Has anyone heard of any companies doing this please?

go on "the really interesting tent company" face book page (web site) they have lots of links to ready set up camping companies, because they supply the geo domes and yurts.

Because it is your first time, if you did take all the stressful bits out, you will probably enjoy it more.

I was very surprised recently by how light it was in our tent all night. We had battery operated fairy lights in with the kids but they could barely be seen. I don't really understand why it was so light but it was never properly dark even though we were in the countryside so hopefully your ds will be ok

pretz head torch each is a must, you often get them free in millets and climbing shops when you buy other things,

Don't know where you're looking to go but prob cheaper to find a site that already has 'ready tents' set up. I know Sandy Balls (New Forest) have them in high season and I'm sure there are plenty of others.

They had 2 at Brokerswood and this is a great site for kids as in a country park, and ONLY open to campers so loads of space to play with no competition for the play trail etc.

Hurley Riverside also have some, and is situated between Marlow and Henley-on-Thames.
