Camping for first time with 2 DDs... tent?

hello - I'm completely ignorant so please feel free to state what seems the bleedin obvious!

We've been invited on a multi family camping holiday which my girls are very excited about. It'll be their first time camping (9 and 6 yo). I camped in my yoof but haven't since the DDs.

First question: tent. I am being seduced (wrongly?!) by these pop up tents like this www.mountainwarehouse.com/camping/tents/pop-up-tents/pop-up-3ds-pattern---stripe-p8141.aspx?ism=0&cl=STRIPE Should I go more traditional? Is this going to be too small?

I will also want to use the tent in the summer when we'll be travelling by train, so would want light and easy to carry.

Many grateful thanks in advance for all/any advice. I may well be back with more questions, though I'm going to study (and memorise) the MN guide I just caught sight of.

I think that would be much too small. We have an Outwell Oakland XL which would be much too big and heavy for you but they do smaller tents and the brand is good. I'm sure someone will come on with the perfect tent for you before long though!

Much too small! Honestly with 2 kids you need somewhere with a bit of a porch to leave the wet shoes in, and room for all your gear.

Would you be able to manage [[http://www.decathlon.co.uk/2-seconds-xl-air-iii-pop-up-tent-grey-blue-id_8244775.html this on the train with all hyour other stuff? They come as a flat disc with rucsac straps.

Or this if you could manage the extra weight

thank you! I had actually been looking at that quechua on decathlon cos I saw someone recommend it on another thread. It does look good (I might like tent porn more than I like camping...) Blu had you recommended an alternative to the quechua too, I'm only getting one link there?

hillbilly I will look at that brand as well, it's good to know which ones are not so likely to leave us all wet in a rainstorm. Which camping in Yorkshire might just happen! Thanks :)

cheers Blu, will do (ooh poetry!). Sadly I'm not near an actual store, the nearest is about 2.5 hours away from us. Which is a shame when they sell great running gear as well! But if it were a tent it would be worth paying the delivery.
