Whose going to bestival this year?

Have you been before. It will be our first year - just dd1 and I.

I'm a bit worried about getting everything from the car to the tent (and pitching the tent by myself!) but apart from that I'm very exicited!!!

Are you looking forward to it? Who are looking forward to seeing? What bits will your dc like best?

We're going (although haven't purchased our tickets yet). It will be our 3rd year. My DD loves the ballet, the children's circus and the jousting. My DS loves Mr Tumble and the Gruffalo. The whole family just likes chilling out by the bandstand with a beer (my Oh and I drinking beer, not the kids).

We use a sack trolley to help get everything to the tent. How old is your DD?

Chilling by the bandstand on Sunday is a regular thing.

I recommend you get a trolley if she's only 5. She can sleep in it and you can use it to get everything to the tent. You can rent them at the entrance.

We're going! Went last year for the first time and loved it (it was hot though, slightly concerned about how it'll be if it rains!) DD adored the circus equipment in the top field. The light show / fireworks on the last night were awesome.

We did it with buggies last year which was great, especially when we wanted to stay out a bit longer - they just went to sleep under blankets! Might have to get a trolley this year though as DD a bit older. Anyone know if you can get 2 kids in one?

We're going - It'll be me, DS(7) & my sister. We went last year & t was fab.

We had a trolley which we could sit in to watch things & DS could fall asleep in it at night. It was also a necessity for lugging gear from the car to the campsite. We've gone for Camping Plus this year to minimise that hike.,

there was a Camp Bestival 2013 thread - I'll try to find it.
