Hello - I have been on shorthaul page getting ideas for budget holiday and now think we have a definite plan (well not quite definite 
- I need YOUR help for that 
We are on a tight budget but need some sunshine and a smattering of culture.
We would like
Cheap flight to Rome
Cheap apartment in Rome for 2 nights/3nights??
Train to Venice (assuming this is cheaper than flying)
Cheap campsite Venice area - happy to be in a pre erected tent -for about 8/9/10 nights
We dont want to hire a car - 2 reasons - firstly added cost, secondly health issues (dont want to talk about this - thanks) - but would be nice not to have to drive as if we do then only one of us will have to do all the driving.
Any sugggestions welcome - feel free to take on the task of pricing my complete holiday for me - There will be 4 of us - we really do want to do this on the cheap - we will just be taking hand luggage.
Oh - dates are helpful - we can go anytime from 12th August as long as we are back for 1st September. Normally Fly Manchester or Leeds/Bradford but flexible as more emphasis on low cost flight.
Thanking you in Anticipation - if I am on the wrong board please tell me - but I thought would find some expert campers here and as most of time will be spent on a campsite I wanted expert opinions.
