nightly tent rentals in France in July - do they exist?

Hola campers
We're off to France for first 2 weeks July - plan is to take our time heading down to Dordogne, staying somewhere on way from Calais for couple of nights, then week in Dordogne, then few nights somewhere on way back. Don't really want to pitch the tent 3 times in fortnight though. Can you get nightly tent rentals in a nice site at this time of year? Suspect its going to be weekly rentals only, but hoping very first week of July still early enough in season that we might find somewhere.
Any tips welcome!

You could try b&b or cheap hotel or how about taking a small tent as well for the odd night

If they are about then we haven't found any.
If you go with Eurocamp then they seem to do overnighters for their people but not other folk! In the past we've taken pop up tents but we now use the cheap and cheerful B&B Hotel chain for our overnighters down France to the South, with a night at a nicer Logis close to Calais before our trek back up north.

Have a look at Castels Camping they do ready tents, mobile homes and chalets as well as pitches for your own tents. The campsites are always really well run and I'm sure you can book by the night. www.camping-castels.co.uk.

Castels is min 7 nights. Flower camping is min 3 nights. Camping Indigo is min 2 nights. The safari tents at Camping Indigo are great, but there's not a huge choice of location - the one in the Loire (Les Chateaux) is in a lovely spot near Chambord Chateau so could make a good stop off (stayed there last August).
Otherwise I think you'll be better off looking at the budget hotel chains.

Huttopia Rillé and Camping Indigo Les Chateaux are in a similar area (Loire valley). They are part of the same group, generally Huttopia is more expensive per night...

Or could you do overnight ferry? (Newcastle/Hull to Amsterdam/Zeebrugge)

Thanks super, will check out nearer ferries. Lucycat, that b&b chain looks ideal. We're a family of 5, am I right thinking we'd need to book 2 rooms? (We just smuggle youngest into family room in premier inn here, but have heard that's not so easy in France!)

Some of the rooms aren't very big - it depends on the age of the hotel so you might struggle to fit 5 in. You could fit a family of about 8 in the B&B in Reims that we used last year which was one of these brand new ones close to the TGV terminus in the middle of nowhere!
On the otherhand the ones in Valence Sud and Beaune were much smaller and older.
Check in is sometimes done when recpetion is closed so you enter your credit card and they give you your room code so they would have no way of knowing how many people were in a room.
