Has anyone stayed here? What did you think?
We were going to book a mobile/chalet direct with the campsite as we usually do because is less money for more space than with eurocamp.
However, if we go with eurocamp we can do 9 nights as they are flexible on dates whereas campsite only takes 7 or 14 night bookings (we have a second week lready booked elsewhere in Vendee but like the idea of starting with 9 nights in one place to make a longer holiday)
Anyway, my question is, does anybody know what the location of the eurocamp mobiles are like compared to the campsite own chalets? (the ones with covered terrace). We prefer a quiet location and reasonably private, don't really like staring into other peoples vans the who,e time! Also like a reasonable amount of outdoor area so our 2 year old can potter around on our pitch.
Many thanks!
Or recommendations for other sites nearby also welcome. Children are 8, 5 and 2 and we like a good swimming pool and playground but not crazy lively.

We were there in June 2008 with our 23 month old. Nice site with a good swimming complex for younger children. Easy walk to the supermarket and across the road, over the dunes to the beach. We went with Eurocamp and the vans were in an OK situation, not amazing but nothing to moan about. I don't recall looking into the neighbours kitchen and DD was able to potter around in the area directly outside. Sorry but I can't remember any thing about the sites own vans.

We probably wouldn't go back to the Vendee again - weren't enamored of the area - but have good memories of our first family holiday at the Squirrels!

I went here in 1982 so can't be of much use sorry Grin I too remember the squirrels throwing stuff onto our 1970s frame tent, having my first fruits de mer and getting thrown about by the waves in the sea until I nearly drowned.

Does tripadvsor mention the location of Eurocamp mobiles?

Thanks for the replies. we had another look at both options and the eurocamp was so much more expensive (even taking into account the extra days) and for a far smaller mobile with no terrace etc so we are going with the campsite own chalet. Very excited!
will be careful in the sea!
