Shedding a stone! Who's with me?

I need to lose a stone. Over the last 18 months it has crept on and I don't want even more to creep on so I thought I would start before it's too late!
I have joined mfp and I am going to try to stick to 1250 cals a day of HEALTHY food - fruit, veg, wholemeal pittas, brown rice, lean meat etc. I am going to ban all "crap" ie fast food - dominos and mc Donald's Blush I always used to eat well so there is no need to me to eat badly.
I am also going to exercise 5 times a week - gym or running or DVD and 30 mins of walking a day as well (dog walking!)
I haven't got a time frame I am just going to keep going, getting healthier at the same time! Time frames don't work for me as if I don't reach a goal then I get so demotivated! This is equally about getting fitter and healthier!
I'm off to the gym later as well. Please join me for motivation!

I'll join you. I've been using MFP for about 3 weeks. I did ok the first 2 weeks losing a few kg. I was a little bit naughty last week and used lots of my calorie allowance on ice cream and wine and funnily enough the weight loss is non existent this week (or it could have been pmt). I am going to eat healthier again this week. I'm on holiday in a few weeks and would love to fit in my holiday clothes.

I'm in too. Over the last year a combination of life being a bit stressful, injuries making me unable to exercise and general apathy and eating way too much cake and chocolate has piled the weight on. Am currently a size 14 and want to get back to a comfortable size 12.

Ideally I'd like to lose a stone and a few pounds but will aim for a stone first. Have been on MFP for the last six days and am being very strict and sticking to 1200 cals a day. I used to run 5k every other day but have lost my fitness in the last six months so building up to doing that again. Have been running/walking for 30 mins most days - anything to get another couple of hundred calories in the bank for a bit of leeway.

Am feeling quite pissed off with myself that I've let this weight creep on through over-indulgence and laziness. I'm aiming to lose a steady pound a week, so I'm going to be at this for a good four months. Aaargh.

Looking forward to a bit of support here!

I'll join in! We're currently staying at my PIL's house in the US until my DH's UK work visa is processed, and it's the kind of place where everyone drives everywhere, so as a non-driver I've been doing lots of sitting around snacking, and I've put on 5lbs in 4 weeks! Shock

Have been doing MFP for a couple of days and may even try doing some walking and get suspicious looks while we're still here.
