Hi I have access to MyFitnessPal so can track my calorie intake per day. What I would like to do is find a database which I can check what foods there are for a certain amount of calories. I want to be able to plan my meals more so be able to input maybe 300 calories and find a range of foods or dishes for this amount.
Does anyone know if there is such a database ?
I use goodtoknow for recipes but it is very time consuming

I am unaware of any site that can do what you ask - let me know if you find it because that would be useful!

What I did was make a list of my usual meals and have their calories next to them. You will be surprised if you do it how few meals you actually eat regularly.

Then just find a few healthy choices that are easy to make and add them into your planner. It doesn't take long to put together 40-50 dishes you know you will enjoy that are healthy. Then each day you can just choose from the planner. I have 40 dishes on my planner, and laminated it so I have it on my kitchen wall.

Make sure you add some "indulgencies" to it too - a little of what you fancy does you good!

The BBC good food website has recipes for 200 - 400 cals and a low fat section. Not exactly the database I imagine you are after but could be useful?
