Calorie-counting

MFP/calorie counting and being unable to exercise

Hi all, I've lost nearly two stone since Feb then had a total hysterectomy three weeks ago and have been eating what I want ever since. I don't seem to have gained any weight, but I was 6lbs lighter after having my uterus out :)

I want to get back on MFP but the most exercise I can manage is a small shuffle around the garden as I'm not pushing myself due to the op. Normally I walk for an hour a day and cycle.

Any advice for staying within my daily limit? I usually end up eating my exercise calories too.

Well done on the weightloss and hope you have a speedy recovery from your op. Flowers

I lost 3 stone on MFP without exercising a couple of years back have gained it all back through health issues since then but that's another stor and I'm back on the wagon again now. Blush Grin

I find the easiest way of keeping to my calories was to have a massive bowl of porridge with apple and cinnamon in the morning, an enormous salad for lunch (including various fruits and lots of crunch things like sugar-snaps and mangetout etc and varying the protein source - so for me egg, feta, cheddar, nuts, avodado, quorn slices) - I'm veggie - then something like a jacket potato with salad, stir fry or protein, plus steamed veg for evening meal.

I drank plenty of water and swapped coffee for Pukka detox and cleanse teas. Treats were natural yoghurt with blueberries, strawberries or nectarine and if I was really pushing the boat out sorbet.

I find after a week or so of eating like this I stop craving junk completely and start feeling a lot more energetic and clear headed, so that's an added bonus.

Good luck. Smile

Thank you! I have had the giant crunchy salad for lunch and been ok so far today. Really want to lose some more before holiday in August.
