MFP ~ 4 weeks in have a constant dizzy / lightheaded feeling

Started to seriously lose weight about 4 weeks ago before then, I always had an excuse not to diet, but something clicked and this time I was determined.

I keyed all my details into MFP and it gave me 1200 cals a day, I managed to stick to this quite easily, and also managed to exercise about 200 cals a day on the wii,(sometimes more when I walk the dog) but yesterday and today I have this constant light headed feeling.

I am 5ft 3" and weigh 12 1/2 stone, so far in a month I have lost 8 lbs and was pleased with my weight loss, but this dizzy thing is getting to me.

Will call the doctors on Tue if still there, but wandering if anyone had similar on a diet.

You need to eat more. MFP gives you that figure if you say you want to lose 2lb a week, but it's way too aggressive for most people to sustain for more than a few weeks.

Try bumping up to 1500-1600 a day at least, and look on the MFP community - there are some great posts on how to set your targets. You will still lose weight as long as you track accurately. (I'm on 1500/day at 5ft 0 and I lose about a pound a week).

Best of luck - I think it's a great site.

Go to the GP but I'd also up your cals, there are lots of threads on MFP as to whether 1200 is the right figure, it's just the default that MFP goes to for most people who want to loose 1-2lb a week.
I'm on 1400 and so far have been losing 1-2lb a week.
A possibly more effective method is to calculate your TDEE (online calculators will do this) and as long as you're eating below that you should lose weight.

I have upped my calories, and if I still feel the same on Wednesday I will go to the doctors. Hoping its sorted itself out by then, I ate a few hundred more last night, but still feel the same this morning, I guess it took about 3 weeks to get to this point, so it will not correct overnight.

Thanks for your replies.
