My Fitness Pal: anyone want to join me in a support-each-other on MFP thread? Or point me in the direction of an existing one?

I HAVE to do something. Fed up with being porky and having rolls around my belly. I have increased my exercise a lot which helps. But I eat way too much, and way too badly (lots of fruit and veg but also sadly lots of chocolate/white flour/sugary stuff).

Sooo - it's My Fitness Pal for me. But I would love some support, and to help others. Care to join me ?

You and me both. I've just re- re-started using mfp. I just get bored and forget, or if I know I've gone well overI stop, but ssomething needs to be done. I have a family member's wedding on Friday and am going to look like shit.

Yay, glad to have you on board. it's so much easier to do it with support, isnt it? Molly I just checked out that threat and it does look lovely. But I always feel intimidated joining threads with zillions of messages already. Perhaps I'll lurk politely until a new one is started.

Right, so how do this? Find each other on MFP?

I'll join!

Have restarted using mfp v recently as postbirth weightloss had stopped.

None of my pre baby clothes fit. And my knees are hurting. I had already started back using mfp by the time I got on the tube on Mon and my fat bum sat on/pushed the man next to me to the side. Sad Sad The shame. It was a helpful reminder to keep on track!

Today I was pleased to realise that I have reached "only" 2 stone above conception weight. I have no idea how much I weighed at my pregnancy hugest, ventured onto the scales 2 weeks post birth, have lost 18lbs since but as mentioned it had all slowed down recently.

For me I am trying 2 things:

  1. Accepting my responsibility for the things I put in my mouth (previously have seen it as a compulsion, which it is but I still do it and it has consequences) and

  2. having small goals, next one is seeing the next stone down. I cannot cope with thinking about the whole 6 stone I need to shift.

How many cals are you having a day? I am on 1650 as I looked at the metabolic rate calculation on one of the other mfp threads. Not sure I could cope on 1200.

    When are you weighing in?

Don't be scared of The Chiefs, we're lovely, really we are!

New chiefs are always welcome, it injects some new blood so gets everyone motivated again. Molly and a couple of others have only joined in the last week or so so you won't be the only new one.

We're all on MFP but that's the only thing we have in common. We're all at different levels, doing different things and started at different times. It's just a nice way to keep each other motivated and/or have a moan when needed Grin

Sorry I went quiet - minor crises in the Note household.

Randall how do we join the Chiefs then? You do paint an enticing picture.

Margo I definitely could not manage on 1200 cals a day - not even sure it's healthy to try. I randomly chose 1400 to try but must admit I am not finding that easy.

Me me me! Started AGAIN Monday, have lots to lose! My DS is 6 months and I was very lucky to be lighter after having him than pre pregnancy (the hyperemesis that caused the weight loss not so lucky!) but since then I've eaten shit and now need to do something about it!

Hello to you all. I was persuaded by Randall to join the Chiefs thread in the weight loss chat section ... and she was right, they ARE nice. And very experienced on MFP. So shall we all meet there ?
