Another boring question from me - rolling pins!

I've got a wooden rod too but rather like it. It's developed a crack now but will replace with identical one, I think. I also want a little one so I can make wanton wrappers. grin

Ah see that's what I thought. I have a wooden rod at the moment and I don't really like it so I wondered if a roller would be better. It's a rolling pin minefield out there! smile

The material is not as important to me as the handles rolling separately to the main roller IYSWIM. If you have to pause to adjust your hands part way, it spoils the smoothness on a larger surface.

Wooden/marble/steel/glass? What is the best type of rolling pin and why please and are rods or rolling pins better?
