to cut a long story short I joined a netball team 3 years ago to give myself a bit of a confidence boost as I had low self esteem etc it was a lovely group of girls and I really enjoyed it we trained once a week and after 6 months we decided to join our local league. Last year we merged with another team which has been the worst possible mistake the captain of the other team is a manipulative woman and wants to run everything. We always made decisions democratically and as a group but she has just come in and taken over. At the time we merged I had just taken over as treasurer from the woman who used to do it and found she could not cope, I set up spreadsheets to record money in and out bought a receipt box to keep everything in and everything was ready to go. The captain from the other team then started booking courts and things like that without telling me then refused to pay for training etc but presented me with invoices which I could not pay as we had insufficient funds. She became very bullying phoning me for 2 to 3 hours at a time whilst I was trying to work and abusing me down the phone I kept saying over and over that my children were ill and that I had no money to give to her etc etc but I would meet with the group to discuss things she refused to meet as a group and carried on putting pressure on me she has now reported me to the police and I have to go there tomorrow and I am scared to death as I don't know what she is accusing me of PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have done nothing wrong, keep calm. Make sure you take some with you to the police, take notes. You will have people who will bw able to back you up.

Something similar has just happened to my dad over golf .

Good luck I know it must be awful.

Sorry went to work. I don't want to say too much on here but a man got the police saying my dad was harassing him constantly. My dad hasn't spoke to him for over a year, after a petty squabble over golf prize money. The police only had this mans word, no written or any type of proof. No more has come of it.

Oh my god - what a witch!

Well go to the police with your head up - show them the accounts - how long you've been in charge - tell them that you've constantly telling the captain not to spend as there's no money - but she's done so regardless and somehow expects you to fork out the money yourself to make up any shortfall.

You are being harrassed - you should be able to get something from your phone company re incoming calls?
DO NOT BE SCARED - have a meeting with your group and a vote of no confidence in her and get her out.

Cocolepew thanks for asking. I was arrested and charged with fraud by position I spent over 5 hours in a cell. I have given police a copy of my credit card statement which shows what I paid out they hope it will all be easily resolved but I have been bailed for 10 days

Good luck stressed - can you get the police to contact the NA or her previous team members to verify her past conduct? Hope it all gets cleared up in your favour soon.

How awful I can't beleive a grown woman would do such a childish vindictive thing. I wish you all the luck and support in the world. And just remember what goes around comes around and hopefully she'll get charged with wasting police time and perverting the cause of justice!!!!
