hi all ive so got to have a rant my daughter came out of school yesterday telling her dad{waiting at the gates}that a large group of girls he asked about are after her. he sent her 2 walk 2 car 2 me with her brother while he waited for ds and 2 of these girls attacked my dd from behind and one of thems older brothers attacked my younger ds.headteacher was there in a flash 2 be fair although they all ran off. dd told him what has been going on ie she is friends with a girl they dont like so they told her not 2 be friends with her or they would beat her up.my dd told em she will be friends with this girl whether they like it or not so theyve attacked her.i got home went on facebook and all the threats started coming in not just 2 my dd facebook but also mine. ive been into school today and head has been brilliant about it but should i report it 2 the police and would they do anything sorry this is such along post

How old are your Dcs (and their friends)?

I would report it to the police, especially if you have recieved threat on yours and your DD's FB!

ive printed off threats and taken them 2 show head 2day my dd is 10yrs old and these girls are the same age my younger son who was attacked also is 9yrs with autism mental understanding of a 6yr old the boy that attacked him is 13yrs. school have said they will do all they can within there power but due 2 the threats they would recommend that i report it 2 the police as they had already dealt with this group of girls only yesterday in connecting with attacking girl who my daughter is friends with

Follow the school's advice and go to the police please. I think your school is good for the reason they did not just say they would "sort it internally" which is code for "do nothing about it" but actually encourage you to take things further.

at how young they are and at your 9yo being attacked by a 13 yo!

You should report it to the police, particularly as cyber-bullying is now involved; this is taken seriously these days, I think.
