Bullying

I feel so mean....

My 13yo DT1 was subjected to bullying a couple of weeks ago, and at the end of last term. The school have taken action and the boy was suspended but he's back now. This morning my boy woke up said he felt rotten and didn't want to go to school which is exactly what he said when he was being bullied. I have been asking him if things are ok and he has said he's not had any more problems, and I asked his DT if anything was going on. Anyway, upshot is I have made him go in to school - really not sure whether he is ill, or it's the bullying again, I've put a call in to his tutor, but in the meantime I feel so cruel. If he's ill then I'm horrible to send him in, and if he's being bullied again I'm horrible to send him in. Problem is, I can't just let him have time off - I just can't work out what's happening. Either way, I feel I'm failing him.

You haven't failed him. He does need to go to school and you have contacted his tutor to make sure that it is followed up. You just feel bad because you are his mum and you want everything to be ok. I hope the tutor has some positive answers for you later
