They pick on him and tease him call him smelly pants and say his name wrong, I have asked my 9 YO sister and she says yes they do they like to spend breaktimes teasing him because he gets quite upset and they think it is funny My s also came home covered in mud and said they pushed him in the mud.

I am very concerned as they are a lot older than him what should I do I have asked both him and my sister to tell the teacher and I will have a word. Is it bullying for 6 11YO boys to tease a 5 year old. He is in Reception class so this is his first year in full time.

Yes it is bullying. Speak to his teacher. The school should take it seriously.

Thanks for the quick responce he said about being pused in the mud last week but I assumed it ws a child from his class. Then this morning he said about the teasing and when I asked my sister she explained that are year 6 and do it all the time and were the ones who pushed him in the mud.

I will have a word with the teacher and make sure they know I am not happy at with this being unoticed and me not being told about it.

Yes, definitely speak to the teacher, your poor dsSad

At our school Reception have their own play area, then the rest of KS1 play together and KS2 are seperate. Works better, I think.

At my DCs' old school the infants and juniors were kept apart at break. Usually, Y3 and 4 were together and Y5 and 6 together. It was just because of this sort of incident.

Ah thanks all I have spoke to the teacher and shesaid she will do her best so we will see, I also found out that the only time they are all on the yard is for 15 minute morning break but otherwise they are split like your schools. Hopefully that will be the end of it.
