trivial reasons to breastfeed: #274

(245 Posts)
no need to ever wash your baby's face, just wait until she pulls off and gets squirted, rub it in, et voila!

chibi, you'll never be judged on MNet. We all think you're doing a fab job. My little one is tiny for her age, but she manages to wrestle a feed out of my big bangers.

You are doing the best for your baby no matter how they are fed. 5 months is amazing! Dont feel sad about anything xxxx
double cake not working for me
Trivial reasons for tandem nursing...

double cake
easy way to stop the 3yo running amuck while you're feeding the baby
watching people's faces when you finish feeding the baby, she crawls off, then the 3yo jumps up for her turn... shock
not worrying about my incredible non-solid-eating children...DD1 was 13mths, DD2 is 8mths and has so far consumed one slice of tomato.
time for another baby Kristina?
i finished 5 years bf this summer and this thread is making me feel all pensive sad

and no, not for cake, i am a chocolate person

Even though ds is 22 months, he keeps still and has a lovely long snuggle. He get very excited and impatient for 'mama'. If he is hurt, upset, tired etc etc a quick feed is all it takes and he;s happy again. When/If he wakes in the night, quick feed and asleep again, All the extra cuddles (and sleep), Choc buttons, Can wear underwired bra (anita), Past the breat pad stage, When he's poorly is all he wants and is The dreamy expression on his face when he latches on, That my mum who never bfed me is pro feeding and extended feeding having seen ds,

It is super fantastic grin

Chibi - my dd is similar age to your ds (17 weeks actual, 7 weeks corrected). I can imagine how you feel. I had loads of people staring at dd as if she was an exhibit commenting on how tiny she was. If I'd have had a pound each time someone said that I'd be rich I tell you! You are doing really well to bf a prem baby. That in itself is a massive achievement. I pat myself on the back for that too - especially as dd only had ebm the first 10 weeks. The fact your ds is achieving milestones early is great. Dd can't roll over yet. I can understand you wishing ds was a fat baby but try to celebrate the fact that he is happy, content and doing well developmentally. Ignore the rude, intrusive comments and lap up the compliments/praise smile

If you want your link to display text other than the web address itself, leave a space after the address then add the text before the ]]. So "Look at [[www.mumsnet.com this page]]", would display "Look at this page".
