I boil water, put it in a covered jug and add to formula as a feed is needed during the day. DS happy to take room temp milk.
Guess this is not killing any germs in the formula though ?

Don't understand what you're saying. Are there germs in formula? You do not need to boil formula!

thelady - that appears to be a link to a site entitled "family chit chat amongst the kewneys" - I did scroll through, pausing to read a rather hair-raising incident involving someone's dog and a bottle of arthritis pills, (glad the dog's OK - sounds a close one!) but there didn't seem to be anything about the BMJ and germs in formula.

mousemole, formula is not sterile, but as you're not keeping the made-up feeds for long, the risk to your son is quite small I think.
