Formula in Canada

We are moving to Toronto in September when my DS will be 7 months old. I need to wean him onto formula before we go and would like to use a Canadian formula from the start, or a formula very close to a Canadian formula. Does anyone know if we can buy Canadian formula in the UK or if not, what is the next best thing?

Hi

My SIL in the US uses Similac, which she finds very good. I would assume that you can get it in Canada also.

Why not contact one of some of the formula companies here to see if they market any their products to Canada?

Thank you for your advice - apologies for delay in replying we've all been ill.
After doing alot of investigation it seems you definitely cannot buy (or import) any North American formula into the UK. Something to do with EU regulations. I have been trying to get hold of lists of ingredients for all the various formulas avilable there and here for comparison but I still cannot be sure that the formulas with the closest ingredients will taste the same. Looks like we may have to plump for something run of the mill here, take some with us and do some 50/50 mixes to change over to Canadian formula.
I foresee a nightmare at feeding times for a while but I guess it won't last!
Thanks again
