Ok, I know this has been asked before but can I have a lemsip?

I bf dd when she woke up and wont feed her again till about 7pm tonight. So I don't think she'll get any of the lemsip will she??

My throught feels puffy and sore. yuk I think I've got a bit of what dd has. She's lost her voice, has had croup.

You can, but the ones with decongestants may decrease your milk supply. Shouldn't be too much trouble if you're going until tonight, and won't have any lasting effects.

Boots do one without them (although that's not much use if the kettle's on!) There's a good explanation on the Breastfeeding Network website.

Get better soon!

princessmel - yes you can. Lemsip does not contain pseudoephedirine which is the ingredient that can reduce your milk supply.

Check the ingredients but the Lemsip Cold & Flu which I had last week had phenylephrine instead which is safe.

Well this is a lemsip cold and flu balckcurrant with phenylephrine in. Thats ok then?

Dd is 20 months so I only feed her morn night and in night if she wakes now.

tbh you are just as well having paracetamol and a hot lemon drink

Thanks for that. I haven't had one for over 2 years as I always thought I wasn't allowed. Just suffered.

I know, but I really don't like lemony drinks. The blackcurrant one is more bearable.
