i am 16 wks pg and last wk decided to gradually stop the 2 bf a day for my daughter who is nearly 19 mths as it was getting too painful. I dropped the mornign feed last sat mornign which was fine and have done one feed a night since then, she has asked for it every night since but not tonight when my DH got her ready for bed. I wanted to end like this on her own accord as was planning to stop next wk but still feel very sad. I was going to stop at 12 mths so am really pleased did another 7 mths but cant help feeling sad. I know i will have another one to feed soon but it was the one thing that she relied on just me for.

Will the remaingin milk jsut dry up with out hurting?

(grin)

Ahh, sad. Feeding my 17mo ds and sometimes wonder whether I'll get to the stage where he totally self-weans or if I'll want to encourage the process along.
Good luck with your pregnancy (congrats too!).
Why was it hurting to feed btw?
