Well I'm sorry to say I think they might be!! Thought that mine were pretty huge whilst I was breastfeeding (unfortunately not since) but I had to sort of press my boob into the pump to make sure that it didn't lose suction.

Mine had been ok but also seemed to lose it's suction - well, at least it's less strong. I changed the white valve bits and that the pump was level but no change. Have begun to wonder if it's the tube from the pump to the breast bit maybe a hole or something. Does your's have that bit? If you have any joy let me know!

I had this problem when mine suddenly lost suction after working fine. Turned out there was a very fine crack in the plastic horn bit. Dh looked on internet and contacted medela and they sent a replacement bit the next day - only cost £3.00! Not sure if this is the prob with yours but its worth checking your pump over carefully. You could also try holding the assembled pump flat against your tummy and if there is suction then, you might have to find one that is a better fit for your boobs.

I realised I had put it together wrong.

I know what you mean about having to prss your boob up against the pump! I actually end up squeazing mine in every direction!

Thanks all, better get pumping!!!
