DD is nearly 6 months old. HV (grr) suggessted I should swap DD to a cup. I've tried the advent trainer cup and the boots one but DD refuses (milk and water) does anyone have any advise?

mine used the 'doidy cup'- available from Urchin. its angled and is easier for them to use without tipping all over herself.

DD has a really cheap T/Tippee one. Got it free at a weaning talk by HV! Anyway she seems to use it quite well and can grab the handles.
She does however scream like mad when I try to remove it from her vice-like grip..

give her cup to play with to start with - I used doidy cup with ds at 6 mo and he'd been playing with it since 5 mo. He refused t/tippee to start with and never got to grips with boots cup. at 7.5 mo started to stop drinking from doidy, just putting hand in to play with water, switched to t'tippee and he loved it

don't know if that helps but we've found something with handles is good and only ever put water in it

good luck
