cows milk and soya intolerant breastfed baby

my hv has agreed that orlaith sounds soya intolerant too. so now i cant eat anything containing cows milk or soya. i have now been off soya for almost a week, Orlaith was weighed and shes put on 13oz. she now weighs 13lb at 16 weeks. has anyone got any good tips etc for a soya and milk free diet? any good recipes. we are currently making our own bread and omitting the dried milk and using the PURE sunflower spread instead of butter as its free from both.
also, what would happen if for any reason i couldnt breastfeed her? she wouldnt be able to have normal formula cos of the cows milk and soya wouldnt be an option and they are banning goats milk formula!
lastly would i be ok drinking and using goats milk for cooking and on cereal etc or is that a no no?
sorry for it being a ramble but i'm feeling isolated at the moment and missing my chocolate!!
thanks

Poor you! My dd was also cows and soya intolerant and it was a pain! I didn't use goats milk, mainly as I can't stand it tbh. We were luckier in that it was later when she developed problems @7months so was eating solids as well.

We saw a homeopath who helped us greatly and eventually the intolerances went away, well apart from a long lasting egg intolerance. I maintain the homeopathic remedies and flower essences we used helped "cure" the problem.

Good luck, you do adjust honest.

Forgot to say rice milk was invaluable and you can get some quite nice dairy free chocolate in sainsburies.

Wow, that sucks. I've been on a egg and milk free diet but can have soya. Is it the lactose or is it the milk proteins? Cos there's that new lactofree milk (they have web site) which is ordinary milk plus lactase enzyme. There is Lactose Free SMA for formula if that's the case ( i noticed you asked) which is what my dd is on. Seems to be going down well! Sainsburys are generally better than Tesco for free from stuff though larger stores are better.

Oh sorry, my advice slightly pants. Never mind. Glad you've found some stuff. There's a book called the allergy bible I found in our libary which is quite good and has some recipes in the back. Libraries are pretty good for info on stuff like that now.
