Stopped breastfeeding. Is this a blocked milk duct or mastitis?

I stopped breastfeeding my daughter about 10 days ago. I haven't had a major problem with engorgment (I didn't ever have masses of milk) but in the past couple of days one breast in particular is very painful. There is no redness but quite a hard lump. I have used a hot compress and managed to massage some milk out. I don't want to encourage my milk production by feeding or expressing, but now cannot pick my baby up on the right side cause its so painful.
How long will it take for my milk to go? Should I go to the Dr's?

GO TO DOCS! you could need antibiotics. the earlier things like that are sorted, the better.

it sounds like a blocked up duct which has become mastitis. esp. if you feel a bit feverish/like you are starting a cold. you will put your back out if you strain to lift baby, and that will be far far worse.

god I am doom and gloom!!! Yep, get to docs. ask for emergency apt as you are in agony. it is what you pay tax for.
