which bottle brand on the market is best for combining breast and bottle feeding?

Hiya I am pregnant with my 3rd baby and I am determined to breast feed this time as my other 2 didnt take to it. I am just wondering which brands of bottles other mums recommend when combining breast and bottle to prevent confusion for the baby?

I used Tommee Tippee closer to nature from week 2. I breast and bottle fed until DD was 16 months.

We have bottles between 4-6 weeks and no problem with bottle refusal. I use TT closer to nature.

We used medela. Had to use some bottles during the first week and then a combination of bf and expressed/bottles until 6 months.

The new avent teats are the closes to the feel of a nipple. Something to do with the 'petal' effect.... I would ask in mothercare...

We introduced a bottle at about three months and had no issues with TT Closer to Nature. That said, DD would guzzle milk out of a stone if it came to it

I really believe it doesn't matter. Sucking on a bottle that a person is holding is not like latching on to a breast. If you want to avoid nipple confusion, I would wait at least 3-4 weeks before using a bottle. You can use syringes or cups in to he first few days if necessary. With that said, I used MAM bottles pretty successfully. They aren't made to look like boobs like tommee tippee, and you can sterilise one bottle at a time in the microwave which is handy if you only give one bottle a day.

(would add, ime temperature of the milk is more important. This varies hugely baby to baby, if your baby doesn't seem to like bottles, take the milk temp up a bit, down a bit, see if that makes a difference.)

Ah yes! some people have deduced they have very hot BM some babies apparently like ice cold milk (not DD, she still abhors cold milk at 21mo )

I used tommee tipee closer to nature and has no problems frm about three weeks using expressed.

I used avent natural and tommy tippee closer to nature, I used the avent ones more purely because I preferred holding them and could get the tops off easier, as I sometimes have problems with my fingers seizing up. I switched from bf, ebm and ff from day one and baby cared not how it came as long as he got it.
