baby is taking five oz and I was wanting to find d a quick way of.maki g bottles. if I make up a bottle with 2oz of water and put in fridge then when she is hungry. boil kettle and fill another bottle with 3oz add 5 scoops to this bottle (to kill bacteria) then add the 2oz of cold water from bottle in fridge to make it suitable for baby. therefore it will be proper mixture proportion and it would have killed germs. this correct?? does anyone else do this?

I used to do this with dd1. I think the crucial part is adding the boiling water to the powder, rather than the amount of boiling water.

I think lots of people do it this way, but it isn't official guidance and I have no idea if it is safe/will definitely kill germs.

Do you not have a fair idea within an hour of when your baby will want a bottle? Could you not just make it a little in advance and cool it in a bowl of cold water?
