Wind in early, breastfed baby

DD is now nearly 3 weeks old - but born premature at 35+2 so is only 37+6 gestational age.
She is breastfed using nipple shields - gaining weight well. She has always had some wind - even when tube fed, but it has never seemed to bother her. However, since last night the wind seems to be causing more of a problem. It's not just a case of after a feed, it's all the time. She is unsettled, squirming about in her sleep when she does settle. Most comes out as farts, some as a burp after a feed when we burp her.
Any tips as to what we can do to reduce it?

Farts and burps are totally different kinds of wind though.

Farts are gas generated from the digestive process. Burps are air taken down when swallowing.

Straining to get farts out is very normal as their tiny digestive systems mature, there's not much you can do to help other than tummy massage, leg bicycling, warm baths and just riding it out.

Burps obviously hold baby upright after a feed, rub back etc...
