Some feeds ds is so fussy. Will keep rooting and wanting to latch but won't go on or stay on, take it lots of air and cries. Why?

Breastfeeding is always tricky to start with in my case. (Third time feeding now and did for 13 and 15 months. Just the beginning has always been sore, and then this phase. (He's four weeks old)

Where he's feeding so little and often it's S if he's not getting good feed. He's gaining lots of weight but just doesn't seem satisfied sometimes.

Take tonight for instance! Confused

Growth spurt so he's trying to stimulate more milk production, maybe?

DS is like that most evenings.
Taking him off for a couple of mins then swapping sides seems to help Grin

It's as if he's just not having full feeds to being moody after, not going back on ten fussy and wears himself out so he nods off and doesn't finish.

He's gaining well but he doesn't stay on for long at all. Maybe ten mins tops. But then he will have a feed where he just does of and on constantly plus crying.

It seems he's feeding so often that when he feeds he doesn't do it properly. So it's setting my milk off then doesn't like the fast flow

He's been crying lots this past few days. Or week. Just not use to it! I suppose a third baby must be overwhelmed as much as I am as he just has to fit in really? With two girls under three!
