Infant feeding

Force let down back

Hi,
LO is 14 weeks and ebfed. I've always had oversupply & forceful down which I've learned to manage. The sensation I get with let down had started easing so I wasn't noticing it as much. But, over the last week, I've really started noticing it again- mainly in between feeds and in the opposite side to which I'm feeding. Has this happened to anyone else?

I get this too - often accompanied by major league leakage. No idea why and it is sometimes borderline painful.

It has calmed down a bit this week interestingly as I'm not getting engorged anymore (7weeks ebf) but I can offer no wisdom just sympathy!

Hello - my LO is just three weeks but I've noticed this as well - when I'm feeding with one breast the other one starts throbbing. Hoping it settles down but will be interested to see if anyone as any tips. Sorry I don't have anything helpful to add.

I too had this, with oversupply. I got advice from bf support group which helped curb it, it was to push opposite breast back with palm if hand forcefully when experiencing pain and/or leakage. This tended to calm it down a bit.

Third time round I still get the pulling sensation in the opposite breast but not painfully or leaking most of the time.
