Can feel 10m/o's teeth when breastfeeding (lip tied)

DD has quite a large upper lip tie, and now her top teeth are through I can feel tiny sharp prices with each suck. It's not painful but a bit sore and unpleasant, and they're still only out slightly at the moment so I cab see it getting worse!

Is this something normal with a lip tie meaning it's time to think about stopping, or could something like improving her latch help? (I don't really want to stop yet ideally)

When did they come through? I have LO with lip tie and revised tongue tie and I can feel her teeth but its much worse in the week or so when a new tooth appears'.

They appeared about 2 weeks back but have grown quickly the past few days. Does it still feel uncomfortable as they get bigger?
I can imagine the whole tooth digging in as they get bigger Confused

It is common for babies with lip tie to grip with their teeth when they come through because they can't do it properly with the restriction of the lip.

If there's a lip tie, there is also more than likely a posterior tongue tie too. (maybe you've already had that diagnosed/revised?)

Your other option is to have the lip revised if it is deemed appropriate by an expert. There are not many who revise lip ties in the UK because it is not fully understood.

Have a read of some of Dr Kotlow's stuff here

I don't find it uncomfortable any more she has had top teeth for 3 months. I started going back to basics so she took nipple well past teeth using flipped abd nose to nipple etc which really helped.

I do still have teeth mark in areola at end if each feed but it doesn't hurt!
