She's teething but all this week she's been feeding up to four times a night. (Usually once) and if I just try to soothe her back off, she gets very irritable in her sleep.

Is it just teeth? Growth spurt? Or is it the lack of quality in my milk why she's wanting more frequently?

If anyone has an answer to this I'm also curious to hear it as my 9 month old is exactly the same at the moment!

Really don't think it is the quality of your milk. It could be one of those other things though or she could be cold. How long has it being going on for? Could it be the 9 month sleep regression?

One thing that worked for a friend was to up the daytime feeds and to offer 6 similar sized, smallish, meals in the day instead of 3 meals and 2 snacks.

I'm up four times at least at night with my LO, no advice but he's never just woke once! That would be a dream!

Yes, it could just be teeth. Have you tried ibuprofen and a teething gel like Dentinox?

Tried those. She just seems to be restless. And will only go back off with the touch of my hair and milk from me Smile it is lovely but tiring!

Kellymom says there's a growth spurt around 9 months so it could be that. Or is she distractible during the day so feeding more at night to make up for it?

My DD did this for a few weeks between 9-10 months (felt like forever). She went back to sleeping well with just 1 comfort feed in the night. DD is 14 months now and just started doing the same thing. She does seem to be constantly teething but I'm putting it down to growth spurts. Sorry I know that doesn't help much but it all seems pretty normal to me :)

Try not to worry about the quality of your milk. Even at 14 months (and rather saggy, unfull looking boobs) DD can go all day with next to nothing but BF and is still growing well.

2nd tooth through, but she now has a cold and is chesty! I do also think that her teething is giving her a bad tummy as instead of one poo a day. , she's been doing three the past three days. And arches her back and tries to push something out in her sleep! (Only since two nights ago)

ShockSoo sleepy!!!
