Dry sucking?

Ds is 2 and an avid bfer, but for the past week I feel as if he is sucking harder and harder and I can't hear him swallowing most of the time. Is this the end? Why would my supply just diminish so drastically? It's very uncomfortable, I wouldn't mind if he just self weaned, but he seems to be fighting it.

Sorry no idea k2. Has anything happened like the return of your periods? Could he just be taking more?

Thanks jilted, no periods here yet, and he went back to bfing lots and lots since December so I don't think that's the change.
It seems it is puzzling even to all the experienced mnters.Sad

It's possible your period is coming in, if you see what I mean - the supply reduction might come when you ovulate?

Is anything else different in your lives, or in his feeding patterns? Does he feed at night?

Blush Hadn't seen these replies!

You are right that perhaps period is coming Hmm, haven't missed it at all! I guess two years, 9 months off is a good break.

The only thing that's changed is that I'm on citalopram, started some weeks before this issue though, but maybe it has to do with it.

He does feed during the night.

Tbh expected it to be something common, which it doesn't seem to, so ill wait it out and see.
