Well. That was going to be a lovely long catching-up post, written while Kid and I reclined on a rug under a tree by the river near our house. Was lovely for 45 mins but now Kid has decided enough is enough. hmm back later!

MrsNPattz Tue 05-Mar-13 15:45:24

Thanks for the new thread Goat.

That's true Larle. Maybe Amey, just need to keep going - really want my stone!!

Just had a rubbish Water babies class. Half way through he started crying, had to leave 5 mins early like last week and he cried and cried the whole time we were getting changed. He's the same now at home and has been grouchy a lot the last few days. He doesn't seem to be feeding the same either, doesn't feed as long and then keeps turning his head away and crying when I offer more. Confused blush

MrsNPattz Tue 05-Mar-13 17:38:00

Ok so I spy a pesky tooth trying to brake through my babies gum!! Got so excited and emotional when I saw it, and now we know what's wrong.

Anyone who has been to Cinebabies, could you explain it to me please? Did you go on your own? Do you have to go out if baby cries?

larlemucker Tue 05-Mar-13 17:39:01

Saving place for later!!

Marking marking

Pinkponiesrock Tue 05-Mar-13 17:59:03

What is on at cinebabies this week? I've gone with others and on my own. The joy of it is that you can stay no matter what baby does, sometimes it is a total racket, other times it's silent.

Pinkponiesrock Tue 05-Mar-13 18:04:11

It's Safe Haven, just looked up their FB page smile I would come in but I have Baby Clinic tomo morn. I'm hoping they put Jude Law and Channing Tatums new film on at one point, yum yum yum smile

MissingMyMarbles Tue 05-Mar-13 18:07:28

Marking for later wink

cjel Tue 05-Mar-13 18:24:27

Saw title of thread and just had to say - Can't believe we did this because we gave up smoking when pregnant! but 30 years ago me and sister in laws used to stay awake during night feeds by having a cigarette whilst breastfeeding!!! It was ok though because we held fag in opposite hand to breast being used and blew smoke away from baby!!!! Do you think babies would be taken away from us if we did it now!!!!

Babybeesmama Tue 05-Mar-13 18:56:28

Mrsn was just going to say do you think he's teething!! Bless him, that's likely what is wrong!! We've been using herbal teething powders. - seem to help a bit!

Tonight he's had nurofen before bedtime. He's got calpol plug in & snuffle babes vaporub on, so help me god if he doesn't sleep!!

Not sure if I'm coming down with something or just sleep deprived but I feel rough today confused - had bright pink cheeks (I'm not teething) felt hot and headache all day sad x

EeyoresGloomyPlace Tue 05-Mar-13 19:09:11

shock cjel I guess that's one way to stay awake!!

Thanks for new thread goat, nice relaxing lounge by the river sounds lovely. Are you putting yourself through buggyfit tomorrow? I've got my root canal at half 9 so I can't this week, don't know which is worse tbh!

Babylump is sitting up unaided now! <proud mummy> although it could just be because her tummy's so big she's balanced like a weeble She's been sat playing with her toys this evening looking like everything's so much more interesting from this new angle.

Bedtime feed now, please God Of Sleep can't tonight be better than last night. I suppose though if its really bad again the up side is I might be so tired I'll fall asleep during dentist treatment tomorrow <desperate>

Night all catch you later on I'm sure xx

MrsNPattz Tue 05-Mar-13 19:15:03

That's ok Pink, I'm contemplating going cause I love a chick flick but I'm a bit nervous blush will see.

Yea Amey I'm pretty sure it's that! Poor little buggers lol more Calpol before bed for him! I had 18 points worth of Yorkie buttons before shock

Cjel oh my gosh!! Yes I think so lol

Oh no Heff, roof canal sounds awful - hope it's not too bad.

Babybeesmama Tue 05-Mar-13 19:54:07

Good luck for dentist heff!

Mrsn Yorkie buttons sound amazing! I love Yorkie dribbles

X

Pinkponiesrock Tue 05-Mar-13 20:19:20

Yorkie buttons are huge, bigger than a £2 coin easily! Mighty tasty smile baby pink has another cold, grrrrr! So much for breast is best, she seems to always be picking up colds but I suppose the boys bring home so many germs and baby pink is dragged along to all of DS2's activities she is bound to pick something up. Final feed before bed hopefully, might just go to bed myself rather than be subjected to the football tonight sad DH is very excited about it, sad man!

MrsNPattz Tue 05-Mar-13 20:50:57

Amey they are so good - better than Cadbury's I think. But the whole packet was gone very quickly!

Nearly transfer time, and hopefully it will be successful. Hubby also watching football (yawn) so I will be going to bed too!

MissingMyMarbles Tue 05-Mar-13 21:31:42

Thanks for the new thread, Goat smile

Thought I was in for another crappy night (and I still might be), because she was over-tired due to crappy naps, and I've just heard whinging less than 2 hours since bedtime. When I went up however, poor little sausage had tried to turn over and got stuck against the side of the cot. I'm a bit scared about her managing to do this (so promptly flipped her back overgrin) but I remember my SiL saying my niece was a lot better and slept through the night once she worked out that she was more comfortable on her stomach. <clutching at straws>

Well done on exam-passing, Amey's DH.

The right job will come up for your DH, Heff.

Teething is rotten, MrsN. I think Missmarbles has started with her next ones now.

Waves at everyone; see you later no doubtsmile

MissingMyMarbles Tue 05-Mar-13 21:39:03

Oh, back on slimming world, just myself not a group as I have the stuff anyway, need lots if virtual cake as trying to minimise amount of real cake grin I'll start by leaving lemon slice on the table wink

Hello all. I have been lurking for ages thanks to horrendous nights. Three hours per night has been a good night sad but two of the last three nights have not been bad at all, despite resorting to cosleeping, so vague humanness is back on the horizon.
Gosh we are getting old! Weaning and teeth! No teeth here yet but six weeks into weaning and Kid has finally realised that he can pick up his own food and put it in his mouth. If he can't get it there however, he just squishes it all over his hand and licks it off! He is also determined to spoon feed himself so there are some interesting moments as we co-manoeuvre various purees into his mouth via something resembling a mutant face pack.

mrsn hooray for first tooth! Such a milestone.
grin at all the photos! I should do something about ours soon, before they just become a large mess and I forget when and where we took them! We do use them as a screen saver on Apple TV, amazing to see Kid as a 3lb 4oz newborn alongside his current 17lb self!

Brain are things better with DP? Night times are a magnifying glass for relationships I often feel, including with baby! I hope you are getting more sleep.

Susie how are those early mornings going? We still awaken at 4-5 am and start the day. Though this morning he went back to sleep at 7:30 so I did too - until the delivery man woke me up.

Marbles are your two still tag teaming to not allow you sleep? Or is the illness subsiding? I send you many wishes for big wodges of unbroken sleep.

minipop lovely to hear from you. Sorry to hear that sleep is not so good at the moment, do pop in again with your cake !

Amey saw your aibu thread, was shock at how rude people are over there. Thought it kind of won your argument for you really - we have p&c spaces because people are incapable of being considerate these days without being made to be!

Heff ouch, good luck at the dentist tomorrow! Def worse than buggyfit sad We won't be doing it either, see below for saga of Kid's lurgy... How is your DSis, has she gone off to rehab? Will you visit?
Sorry to hear about bad nights... Hope babylump didn't pick up any bad habits off Kid hmm

funch your day looking after babyfunch sounds great! Have to say, DH looked after Kid from 5:30 until 12 on Saturday morning and was absolutely knackered by the end. I was just a little smug thinking that I do that every day, plus the rest of the afternoon! Ps where is Mr Funch?...

Larle families are funny things aren't they, even when it comes to babies. I do hope you get it all sorted out so your relatives can enjoy the wonderful early times with the baby.
Good to hear too that baby larle is ok again after the nappy scare.

Chilli hope the good nights are continuing! Any more lamingtons on the horizon?... Afgan biscuits?

Stitch I sympathise on the sleepwalking feeling. How are you feeling now, any better? I hope you at least got to enjoy the sunshine today.

Small it's nice to see you again but tell baby small that the next visit you make to us should be to tell us what life is like as a graduate of the thread!

Panzee hello and a very belated welcome, hope everything is settling in well and that you are enjoying your lovely squidgy LO.

Pink how fab with the lambs! I second the request for pics. Homesick NZer here you realise, I have to get my fix of lambs somehow! grin

noroom thank you for the thread idea! What a sanity saver everyone here has been. what did our mums do before the Internet, my mind refuses to contemplate such horror

So unfortunately Kid has been really unwell for a little while, hence the bad nights I guess. His eczema is driving him nuts (Aveeno lotion on the way finally though, stitch ) and he has had D&V pretty thoroughly. Also wheezy and really stuffed up at night poor thing. All a bit of a worry, especially a whole week of diarrhoea. sad we have an appointment tomorrow (though not with Kid's lovely paediatrician) so will see what happens there. I had to cancel a KIT day on Monday as couldn't leave him with childminder. It was supposed to be his trial day. Oh well. He still seems pretty happy during the day, and is full on practising rocking on all fours prior to crawling. Also loves standing up! So plenty of energy there I think!

Right I will shut up now blush hello to anyone I have missed and sleepy dust for all.

Oh, yes please to cake and I offer white chocolate and peanut butter cookies.

Babybeesmama Tue 05-Mar-13 22:11:02

Goat - that was amazing name checking grin I'm impressed! Sorry to hear kid has been poorly! Hope he is on the mend! Baby bee also likes to grab spoon when feeding & it flies everywhere. He's getting a little temper on him, I let him chew a bit of my crumpet today but he got a big bit off & I was worried he would choke - took it off him and he howled! Tears and everything! And he actually managed the big bit blush maybe he's choosing BLW himself!

On first bottle, bit early but hoping after this he goes back down - in his own room!

See you all later I'm sure!! X

MissingMyMarbles Tue 05-Mar-13 22:20:44

Wow Goat! Heuoje postgrin Well done in the name checking!

Doing first feed, a semi-respectable 3 hours in. Hopefully this means next feed not until at least 2. Nappy leaked though. At least she's changed now and hopefully it won't leak again.

Susieloo Tue 05-Mar-13 23:40:12

1st feed of the night - hoping he will now go through until 7 with no fuss-I'm dreaming I think....

Babybeesmama Wed 06-Mar-13 01:29:15

Been unsettled since 10 here sad he's got a horrible cough. DH just gone into other room, he was driving me mad anyway, he's SO slow when he's been woken up I'm like ffs how long does it take to fill a bottle up & warm it!

Anyway, enough DH bashing. I'm typing this with one eye closed, I'm super tired hmm x

Susieloo Wed 06-Mar-13 02:09:40

2nd wake up but not feeding, not sure why he's so unsettled tonight.

MrsNPattz Wed 06-Mar-13 02:24:12

First feed here, he woke not long after transferring at bed time but a feed settled him. I think it's easier now I know what's wrong.

Goat wow that is one impressive post!! Sorry kid has been ill, hope he is on the mend.

Amey hubby is slow without being woken up, he faffs even when changing a nappy lol

Marbles well done on starting slimming world again - good luck!

Larle did you speak to your family?
