I'm already mixing paracetamol/ ibroupofun (sp?) for my stitches but I'm in agony, I can literally see the skin splitting Sad. I was expecting this from dc1 but had forgot how painful it was. I've tried expressing a touch to take the edge off them but they just fill straight back up so think it may actually be making things worse. Confused

I know if I just leave them, it will get better in a few days but, sat here in a lot of pain with no idea how I'd slepp tonight, I'd really love any advice/ tips...pretty, pretty please???? Thanks

Hot water bottle in a towel can soothe I found.

Congratulations!

I second the recommendation for a hot water bottle, or a hot bath if you can manage it (you might find that a little milk will leak and soothe the pain a little bit). I wouldn't express, that will be a temporary relief but will be worse when they refill. Just wanted to say you have my sympathy, its horrible.

Thank you! I did look on the net but, depending on which website, advice seems very contradictory. They've calmed down a bit today, I had a warm bath and have just been trying to do a bit of gentle massage before each feed to ease out the lumps. They don't feel as hot to touch any more so hoping that may be the worst of it over, I've stopped the expressing too as, though it offered relief, I think you're right that it just made them fill up even quicker.

Thank you again for the advice Grin
